Privacy Policy
Last updated: 01.11.2026
Ambassadors for Dignity and Freedom International Foundation (A4D) (“A4D”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.ambassadors4dignity.org, why, how we protect it, and what rights you have.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Ambassadors for Dignity and Freedom International Foundation (A4D), a foundation registered in Spain. You can contact us about this policy or any data protection request at ambassadors4dignity@gmail.com or through our Join / Contact page.
2. What data we collect and why
Contact and partnership forms. If you write to us, we receive your name, e-mail address, organization (optional) and message. We use them only to answer you and manage the relationship. Legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in responding (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
Newsletter and event updates. If you subscribe, we store your name and e-mail address to send you announcements of events, publications and podcast episodes. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe at any time.
Donations. If online donations are enabled, payment details are processed by our payment provider; we receive only the information needed to record and acknowledge your gift. We do not store full card numbers.
Website usage data. Our servers and analytics tools automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser, device, pages visited and time of visit.
3. Third-party services
Google Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. We use it only to improve the site. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 4). More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy — and you can use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
CookieYes. We use the CookieYes plugin to display the cookie banner and record your consent choices. CookieYes stores your preferences in a cookie in your browser, and a consent log may be kept by CookieYes. See: https://www.cookieyes.com/privacy-policy/
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies — needed for the site and security features to work, and to remember your cookie choices (CookieYes). These do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, only after you accept them.
- Spam-protection and form functionality — as needed for our forms.
When you first visit, the CookieYes banner lets you accept, reject or customize non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on the site, or by deleting cookies in your browser settings.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, e-mail, Google Analytics, CookieYes, payment provider if used), and with authorities when required by law.
6. International transfers
Some providers (for example Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Contact messages: as long as needed to handle your request, normally up to 24 months.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: according to the retention period set in Google Analytics.
- Cookie consent records: kept for as long as needed to demonstrate your consent choices, as configured in CookieYes.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (for example the AEPD in Spain, ANSPDCP in Romania, or the FDPIC in Switzerland). To exercise your rights, contact us at ambassadors4dignity@gmail.com.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no online transmission is completely secure.
10. Children
This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. External links
Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
